eight characters

As of last year the average SATs were 1450.Acceptance rate was 13.6%

ouch thats pretty low. how many applicants approximately?

what was early decision %?

Based on the website the admissions rate was more like 16.666%, said about 700 are accepted and 4200 apply. Maybe my numbers are off.... Or maybe yours is based more on the number matriculating. I don't know, just felt like posting.

If I apply to wharton and I am not accepted I can still get in the college?

no .

Imperat0r, it was definitely 13.6%overall for Wharton, perhaps the figure you gave was for early decision.

To quote the FAQ for Wharton at the Upenn Website:

* How many applications do you receive for a given class?
Application volume for Wharton single and joint degrees averages around 4,200. Each year we admit about 700 students and matriculate about 500 students in the first-year class. *

Acceptance rate = 700/4200= 1/6 = about 16.666%.
Matriculation rate = 500/4200= 5/42 = about 11.9%

I'll grant to you that my numbers are probably far less specific than yours, but I'm just going by what the website gives me.

holy **** thats low....I hope I get accepted, Wharton is definitely my dream school.

imperator is giving general averages (looks like Wharton doesn't post actual historical figures). But the matric rate would be 500/700 = 71.4% not 500/4200. The yield this past year was actually closer to 80%.

eighteen's numbers are what was published in the DP last spring so I'd go with those numbers since those are accurate based on last year's admissions cycle.

By matriculation rate I was referring to real attendence vs the amount applied, I guess I mislabled it, good call on that error.
