I know this is old..About wharton

Does anybody know the wharton admittance rates?? I know penn’s overall in general, but not wharton specifically.

out of over 3000 applicants they accept 700-of which about 500 will accept and go to Wharton.

wow...thats veryy low

23% acceptance rate? thats pretty high

no, i just saw their website, its like 3900 people
, so its like 19%

I remember seeing the number 15.5% thrown around for the Wharton School. That actually surprises me a lot, because you'd figure that applicants who just wanted to throw in an application to Penn would apply to Penn College. In other words, Wharton is a much more self-selecting pool (at least by my theory), and therefore it surprises me that the acceptance rate is so low.

Joey

When we were at Wharton and asked the admissions speaker if there were different requirements for Wharton than the College, she kind of skewed the answer. My d tried to research their requirements and concluded their standards are similar to HY, at least according to our school. Do you agree?

I'd say its more stats driven and easier to get into than HYP.

The difference between Wharton and The College:
Wharton: they like to see that you rock at math. they'll forgive a poor writing score.
College: They like to see someone who's well rounded.

One isn't necessarily easier to get into than the other.

Wharton probably puts a lot of focus on leadership as well. Also, if you have any business-related EC's, that'll probably help a lot too.

Are you sure they dont care about verbal? What if i had a 800 Math and a 690 verbal? (i'm also asian and speak chinese at home)

will the fact that English is not my native language help me? (my verbal is pretty low...)

i think a lot of azns have that problem (unless you're a super azn then you get perfect/nearly perfects). my verbal was so freaking low last time i took the practice. my math is fine. a little fine tuning will get me up there in the mid to high 700's.

how do u fine tune??

... study?

lol, cram vocab words?

does anyone know the ED rates for wharton?

Engineering is easier to get in to comparetively than either college and wharton too, atleast according to statistics, though people tend to not talk about engineering.

Does anyone know the ED acceptance rates of whartoN?

like... 21-22%, right?
