CAN’T WAIT LOLLL

Hi I was wondering when should I be getting an answer I live in CT and applied December 31st. I’m really scAred cuz I want to go to UB and I haven’t heard anything yet. Also I got that email a week or two back so idk wats up

@Gemini13 you might call the ub admission office, they will tell u about your application, but they won’t tell the decision!!!

Called them for the second time this month and all they told me is that my application is complete and that they are mailing some applications that week. Hopefully I hear from them this week, I am getting really nervous and I really want to go to UB.

Also one of my friends with around the same score and gpa just got denied a week ago so now I’m getting more nervous.

Yea I called them too and they don’t even have a decision on mine

Just got a letter from Buffalo and unfortunately I got denied. :frowning: I’m disappointed because I really wanted to go there. Anyways, is there anything I can do to get reconsidered? I think if I call them on Monday I can talk to them about it.

I think you can appeal to their decision. Call them. Its worth a try. Sometimes, school’s decisions are final.

Accepted OOS w/$12,000 in scholarship. I’m waiting to hear about their guaranteed dental program

I had gotten my acceptence aproximatly 2 weeks ago :-). I may possibly met all of you in the fall xD

Accepted to UB about 2 weeks ago. Probably won’t be attending since Ohio State accepted me as well. I got a $3,000 scholarship from UB. Here are some quick stats if anyone is interested: SAT CR 710 M 660 W 640(690 superscore) 3.7 W GPA Im also in-state.

Good luck to everyone!

Oh, just saw this. Accepted Feb 17th or so with a 3.2w, 25 ACT, heavy ECs and excellent essay. In state.

How much people are still waiting on decisions? I applied in December and I’m still waiting!

@collegemanboy I am

how is jobs scenario after ms in mechanical

So I have a really low GPA, an 82, but I have a 28 ACT score, and a 1270/1900 SAT Score, I am an instate resident and I had a pretty good essay, and I got rejected from University at Buffalo, is this realistic? or do you think I should’ve gotten accepted?

in my case, I have a lower SAT than you, a 1070/1520 but I believed what really saved me was my GPA, a 94. My teachers have told me it is really about your overall student profile, though. On my transcript, I wasn’t doing so well during my sophomore year but I turned it around in my junior year. And I had a pretty decent amount of EC’s, not so many and I wasn’t in any AP classes or anything like that. So I really do think my GPA saved me. But also we have to consider what major you chose. Some are more competitive than the other.

Ideally, everyone should get accepted honestly. But I, personally, cannot judge you as a student or person because I do not know you like that or know about your academics. So I cannot say you should have been accepted or that it was justified. When you read some of the profiles that did get in, you cannot possibly compare yourself to them because grades are just numbers.

Watermelon, Buffalo is considered one of the more competitive SUNY schools, thus it makes sense you got denied with an 82.

Also, did you apply through EOP or RD? I believe that if you applied through EOP they might have been more lenient. If you applied through RD, picture this, if they had to choose between you and another student who has a 90 average with the same SATs, the obvious choice is the other student- unfortunately.

Watermelon, it was probably bad luck. I know people with a slightly higher GPA and lower SAT score who got in RD

I had an 84 GPA but a 1960 SAT and 31 ACT. Got into the engineering program!

I was surprised at the average GPA and SAT scores of accepted students though. The average GPA of accepted students was 93.4 and the average two part SAT was 1274. Not bad in my opinion.
