I have just received my account information today, October 8th

Yah just received today. Sigh.

Same, got the email today.

anyone else extremely annoyed by setting up your password?

lol perhaps its not safe but i use the same password for everything, and I had to make up something incredibly stupid to make use of 4 types of characters. I mean, who uses stuff like "-" in passwords? and it wouldnt even let me use dictionary words...oh man. I think I forgot my password already!

Oh yeah, I usually have one password that I use for almost everything. But now I have to make a different one, and one that satistifies the 3 out of 4 rules. sigh

someone said something in an earlier post that i didnt understand

"cornell admissions are weighed heavily by region"

they can't seriously have a quota saying "okay, we need 6% from southeast...etc"

what did they mean

That means the more applicants coming from a specific region, the more competitive that region is.

Hmm...I wonder how many applicants are from Kentucky. I'm from Louisville, KY. It's the largest city of Kentucky but almost nobody is applying to Cornell except me.

It'll help coming from KY.

I just sent in my app and supplement today, but I got a fee waiver from my guidance counselor and sent that by snail mail (because she said to do that). what do i put on the site: I'm not requesting a fee waiver, i already got one. so I'm afraid Cornell won't send me my account info unless I pay
