<p>I got my scores with writing!!! This was the first time taking it with no studying at all…and I didn’t do too well… I have a question. Is the writing+ essay score supposed to be in your composite score? Beecause if it is then my composite score should be a point higher! And if it isn’t then what is the point of taking the act+ writing?</p>
<p>It’s not in your composite score.
And the point of taking it is because most colleges want to see you take it. I know of a lot of places that won’t accept an ACT score if it wasn’t with writing. But does it even make a huge difference to college admissions if you get a 6 essay? Not really. But still, always shoot for the best you can do.</p>
<p>Aww… thanks! levlevlev11! It’s just that I got a 12 on my essay and I’m sad that it’s not going to bump my composite score…</p>
<p>Yeah, it’s kind of unfortunate that it doesn’t affect the C score. But since it’s your first time taking the test, just take it again and focus on all the other subjects, it looks like you’ve got the essay down so no need to worry about that, you’re bound to get a higher score so you’re good!</p>
<p>The first time taking it in January the glitch worked, the second time the score wasn’t available until the day of release, and the writing score wasn’t released until a few days later. Still - no score available for this round either.</p>
<p>I wish we knew they rhyme or reason why it works for some and not others. Or in other words, are there certain testing centers that are graded quicker?</p>
