I guess nobody's gotten it yet...? Has anyone emailed the admissions office to find out when they'll be sending them out? The acceptance letter had so little in it lol!

according to some people on the facebook group, there is no packet coming until april with the reg decision letters. but they also said there's a possibility we get a letter or something before then.

someone on facebook called admissions and was told that the packets were mailed out yesterday! which is great but it kinda sucks that with mlk day and all, most of won't get them until tuesday. oh well...I'm excited to be getting something else from Princeton!!

i got my packet today! it contains a reply card that basically says we commit to keeping up our grades, withdrawing other apps, staying out of trouble etc.

there is also a memo from rapelye with important dates and a little "rededicate yourself to your studies" message

then the good stuff.....undergrad announcement, study abroad guide, and freshman seminar booklet (all for 06-07 but it should pretty much be the same thing next year)

all in all it was a great relief to get it! for a while i thought that they had mailed me an acceptance letter by mistake lol

yay just got mine too :D
lol rededicate yourself to your studies. no thanks. my classes this year just aren't that good/interesting.
yeah the first thing my mom said was, "so they really DID accept you!"

I haven't gotten mine yet; WHO STILL HASN'T GOTTEN THEIR 2nd Letter?
Was the letter sent priority or regular?

Got it today. It's nothing to get excited about. Sent regular mail btw. It contains undergrad announcement, freshman seminar booklet, and study abroad guide (all for 2006-2007 school year). Then a little note from Rapelye and a reply card with some conditions (eg you must get a diploma, you must not do horribly in school, you must not have lied, the basics). Essentially, nothing you couldn't find online except for the note and reply card. The exciting stuff doesn't come until May or later.

still didnt get it....and i live in califorina

I got mine, too, and I think it is something to get excited about (well, it made me excited, anyway!)!! Even if you can find all of it online, I think it's cool to have it on your hands in nice little (or really big) books. I haven't looked at the UG Announcement yet, but the freshman seminar and study abroad stuff got me really excited about next year!! Yay, Princeton!

And I love how the letter said that between Dec and Sept is a "unique and distinct time period" (aka "you're going to want to slack off more than anything in the world, but we aren't going to totally let you do that"). I thought it was kind of cheap of them to make us pay for the stamp for the reply card envelope (especially because we're going to be paying them masses of tuition), but whatever.

Yeah I have not received mine and I live in the south!
when was it postmarked?

postmarked jan 12. i live in VA btw.

So who still hasn't gotten the 2nd package yet..besides me!

Nothing here today....

postmarked jan 12. nothing new in package, except everything you can find on their website :(

^Yup, postmarked 12th. Oh ya, I live in CA, so most should have gotten it and if not, surely tomorrow then.

I had a pleasant surprise today when I got an unexpected packet from the Engineering School at Princeton. It's mailed to all prospective BSEs. Inside, there's a letter from the dean, one page describing the different engineering disciplines at Princeton, and best of all a nice glossy magazine that the engineering school puts out. It's not for prospectives; it's just a general PR output. I found it was helpful in getting to know more about the school. Also, there is an engineering open house April 3 (a Tuesday).

For those of you who received a packet, did it say what day the weekend will be in April for accepted students to visit-or maybe it is during the week? thanks

I received a package the other day, but to my disappointment it only contained the undergraduate announcement. Have any of you guys gotten an incomplete package too?

do you mean for engineering students? because i dont know, since im an AB. but the only dates i got were for the freshman orientation on sat. sept. 8 and the first day of classes, which is september 17, 2007. and the freshman parents weekend which is in october. so no, i didnt see any date for april.

CMA1--the accepted students' weekend in April (I mean the general one, not for engineering) is just for RD acceptees, not for ED, since we've already committed to attending and do not need "special events" to help us make up our minds!
I kind of wish we all were invited, but oh well.
