<p>I sent in my card on Tuesday from the Midwest. I think they say you get your e-mail 24 hours after they receive your card.</p>

<p>Oh, wow! I thought you only get your email after may 15th or something like that...that's what i read in one of the packets...but this is great! I took a summer class at Stanford as part of the HS Summer College and then my webmail account was disabled, and now that I can log in, all my email is still there! hooray!</p>

<p>I got my @stanford.edu address Tuesday afternoon after sending it in the mail the previous Tuesday.</p>

<p>I had previously signed up for my SUnet ID. It was sponsored (from 'base' to 'full') on Tuesday, which gave me access to my e-mail and a bunch of other cool things.</p>
<p>The admit.stanford.edu site tells you how to sign up for the SUnet ID if you haven't already.</p>
<p>to check it, i had to go to YOUStanford or something like and forward the my @stanford.edu emails to one I currently use (@yahoo.com)</p>
<p>The other option is to use webmail.stanford.edu or set up your mail program (Apple Mail, Outlook, pine, etc.) to use IMAP to retrieve your Stanford mail.</p>
