These are the two GE's I'm taking this coming semester (I wanted some philosophy classes but they were all gone).

GEOL130Lg is The Nature of Scientific Inquiry with Scott Robert Paterson and HIST200gm is The American Experience with Lon Yuki Kurashige. Are these hard classes/teachers? Should I try to switch out of them?

I took 130 and its not difficult if you actually go to class. All the tests are from the lecture material (he puts the slides on blackboard) so don’t bother buying the textbooks. He does 10 random attendance quizzes during the semester which is about 10% of your grade so you need to go to class. The tests can be difficult if you dont’ study but its not complicated material

I did a summer research project with Prof. Paterson and I can truly say that he is a great guy and a wonderful teacher. He said that for his GE class, you’ll want to study for the tests, but it’s not terribly difficult stuff.

Thanks guys for the info.
