While this is not unique to NYU, but going to college in NYC, for a theater major, is very cool in that you get to see a great deal of theater, which enhances one’s learning about MT. The theater in NYC is on top of the huge amount of theater and performance you can see right at NYU itself.

Im a junior in HS and i am really interested in attending NYU. Im really interested in studying photojournalism, but I wasn’t sure if I should apply to Tisch, or apply to CAS and (if accepted) do Open Arts.

I don’t have the strongest grades (only a 3.6 with no APs yet, but im taking at least four next year) and I don’t have photography classes on my transcript because of scheduling. However, i would be able to make a strong portfolio. I was a part of this program up until last year where I published two books (photo anthologies) featuring primarily my photographs.

so i guess i have two questions: should i apply to tisch or CAS, and are there any recommendations about my application/grades/experiences?

thanks!

How many shows were you in when you were in high school? How much pull does your resume have in auditions?
