You got in?

CA2006, I agree with you. I have called them probably 6 times over the last 2 weeks, including a call from my father and guidance counselor. They told me May 1st. They received everything, and it has been in review since April 10. So if I don't have an answer on May 1st I'll have to give them one last call.

rejected.......again.......I can't believe it took them an extra 3 weeks from their own deadline just to reject me.

did they tell you over the phone?

I got rejected(lol), but I into UC Berkeley and Irvine anyways, so it doesn't really matter. If I still want to go, I'll just try and transfer later.

oh well, **** happens, i guess im a gaucho now.

Rejected, oh well since getting rejected the first time my enthusiasim for ucla has waned

postmarked 4/15... in review 4/27 this is going to take a while..... and gl to wherever you guys are going

what have people written in their appeals that has worked?

i had my stuff submitted april 1, but have heard nothing yet. did anyone get a response from appeal submitted about the same time i did?

dodgerblue, that really sucks. I was hoping you'd get in.

At least the waiting is over now; you can move on with life.

Just a weird little side note...the site still hasn't declared me as "accepted" yet (app still in review), but I was able to submit my SIR and get a Bruin PIN number and stuff just with my UC app ID. So that website updates way slower than the rest of the UCLA system...

so you found out over the phone? but how did you manage to submit your sir without being shown the acceptance page?

and just curious, what were your stats? (just generally, like sat, gpa, and important curriculars) what did you put in your appeal?

Ok now to make things even more complicated for me, I get a letter today in the mail. I just received a full 4 year scholarship to UCLA through the Navy ROTC program. Only problem is I didn't get into UCLA, and I already appealed and was denied. Had I found out this info last week, maybe my appeal would have worked (especially because I'm not really OOS if I'm in the ROTC program). So now I had to call the director of UCLA Navy ROTC and see if there is anything I can do at this point. Just my luck.

...wha?

Dodgerblue... you have the most incredibibly bad luck! I hope this ROTC letter changes all that and gets you in! :)

submitted appeal april 1st...still havent heard yet. im pretty sold on going to sd (already SIRed) so even if i get into ucla, ill prob not go. but i really want to know waht happened anyway since before i was huge on ucla.

You guys won't believe this. I'M IN!!! The Navy ROTC got me admitted today, and the paper work is on the way. I'm so excited. I went from getting rejected to UCLA to going there for free. Go Bruins!

Congratulations, dodgerblue. That's quite a twist of fate.

Hey Dodgerblue, CONGRATULATIONS!
