Anyone heard from Cal Poly Pomona yet?

My admission status is also still 'Impacted Plan; CSU Eligible". It has been like that since December. I have not received any requests about FAFSA.

Hmmmm, I’m thinking about applying to the Honors Program now as well. I don’t think I’ll get in, though, but I will try :]

Wait, wrong thread! Sorry

i too applied for biology. is this true about the math scores? i am still waiting for an answer as well and i am, unfortinately, below that score

On their application status, does it say for anyone “your application is incomplete” because the senior final transcript isnt due until the end of July? -__-

Yes, my daughter’s portal says ‘Your application is incomplete.’ I think that’s ‘normal’, though confusing. WHEN you get admitted, be sure to submit a final transcript when you graduate, ok? ;-)

Question for those who are awaiting a decision – the housing applications for fall 2011 became available last Wednesday (March 9). They suggest that even if you aren’t admitted and/or don’t know if you will attend that you apply for housing as soon as possible. However, there’s also a $300 refundable (I think) deposit required. Have you applied for housing yet or will you in the next few days?

I’m applying for civil engineering at the moment. have a 3.2 in college. Transferring from CSUSB. My status for admittance- “Referred to impacted plan”.

Is there anyway I can change the major i’m applying under to Mechanical Engineering?

One of my classes that I put on the application that I was going to complete, Statics, was canceled. Is there any chance that not completing that class will affect my admittance?

Has anyone else transferring under Civil Engineering received their acceptance email?

Thanks

has anyone been accepted into industrial engineering? mine still says “Eligible for consideration”

i was accepted into industrial engineering yesterday

wat were your sat scores and your GPA?

Do you guys know when is the deadline to take the Placement tests at Cal Poly Pomona for the Fall Semester of 2011?

3.2 gpa
1600 SAT (1060/1600)
23 ACT (26 math)
in state. what are my chances? =/

@spinmychair

For which major?

@mariagonzales computer science

@spinmychair

OK, the good news is that Computer Science is not an impacted major. Th bad news is that the according to last year’s admission stats to Cal Poly Pomona, you are slightly below average (GPA 3.42, SAT 1083/1600).

However that average includes students with higher stats in architecture and engineering, so you might actually have a shot. I’d say a 60-70% shot at it… good luck!

@mariagonzales haha thanks, that makes me feel a bit more confident about my admission decision :slight_smile: i’m just starting to get a little worried because a lot of my friends have already received their acceptance letters. do you know when cal poly pomona will stop sending out decision letters?

@spinmychair

They send admission notifications on a rolling basis, meaning, from October until late April, but don’t take my word for it, because last year they even accepted some students in the Summer. This happened after the admission’s office overestimated the number of students who would actually decide to enroll and had to offer admission to lots of students who were in the waiting list. Allegedly, that was not to happen this year, but who knows!!! ;)

Did you apply to other universities?

@mariagonzales ohh, i heard about that. one of my friends was on that waiting list and was admitted on the day of graduation lol. i’d be so freaked out if that happened to me. i applied to several other colleges but so far i’m still waiting for uci, ucsb, cpp, and csufullerton. i just got in ucsc, but i really want to go to cal poly pomona.

@spinmychair

Yep, definitely Cal Poly Pomona over UCSC. I really hope you get in and I really do think you have a shot. Let’s hope for the best. I think you will get into CSU Fullertor, but UCI and UCSB might also be reaches. The thing about the UCs is that they look at your extra-curricular and that might work in your advantage depending on ho good they are.
