Anyone heard from Cal Poly Pomona yet?

Ya they will consider you for your second major if you don’t make the cut for computer engineering. Ya I think a lot of people would benefit from interviews but that would take a lot longer and I don’t think they will ever require interviews for that reason. If it takes them this long to consider people just by test scores and GPA, I can’t imagine how long it would take if interviews were added.

Fabulous! Thank you for a brighter outlook on my situation. All if this is getting me seriously stressed out.

Especially with cuts, interview seems more difficult to achieve. Maybe just one day, online interviews!

No problem  haha. Are you considering any other schools?

Great to see that you guys finally got in! Congrats accepted peoples!

@x14sta lol online interviews? When you’re a computer engineer at CPP, you should innovate that.

I have question about payment.

I was going to make a payment(Enrollment fee) but when I clicked ‘Make A Payment’ it shows total of $174 and it said ‘Miscellaneous’. Does this cover the enrollment, orientation fee? Or I still have to make another payments for enrollment and orientation?

@Cpp I don’t really have any other schools that accepted me :$.

@tum that sounds like an interesting project! Its just more with forms and connecting a video chat together… Skype!! XD

@CPPcivileng2016 Thanks for the info. If they’re so selective with architecture major, I wonder why I didn’t get rejected earlier on. Ah I’m really just hoping I’ll be admitted by having landscape architecture as a second choice. So far I’ve got rejected from 3/5 schools (ucsd, ucd, usd) I applied to and wait-listed for sdsu, so cpp is my last hope really.

We are still waiting - Communications major (Public Relations) with a 3.29 gpa and 1050 SAT. BUT, we’re “out of the area” (NorCal). We are waitlisted at Fullerton for Advertising. We can’t go to our “nearest” CSU because it doesn’t offer the majors that my daughter is interested in. Are we being dinged because we’re not local? I will say that we didn’t submit the app until the last day…

Any opinions? I didn’t think the Communications dept. would be that hard to get into.

@mimsmom I’m on the similar boat as your daughter. The only answer we have now is time. Communications is not as competitive as other majors so it’s still on a brighter side.

I received my provisional admittance just now. I just checked and it was different. It happened overnight. It’s just too bad that I’ve already committed to SDSU.

Congratulations, Deee2016! Regardless of choosing SDSU instead, it’s still nice to know you had a chance ;D!

I have a question, if you chose some other university over CPP, does that mean there’s more spots open for others?

My son get in Business Administration. GPA is low, 2.88, so probably based on SAT 1320/1970. Best of luck to everyone.

@deee2016: Are you a Chem student? Transfer or FTF? What are stats?

@Sorespectable - Is your son in local area? And is his SAT 1320 out of 1600 or 2400?

@x14sta - I know CPP uses a wait list to fill open spots.

@tum Not local area. 1320 out of 1600.

@cppcivileng2016
I actually received an email following my admittance into the program directly from the architecture department. Apparently out of those 4000 applicants, 400 were transfers, and only 20 out of that pile got admitted. The acceptance rate is quite a shock for this program, but I guess that explains why classes are so well balanced there!

Sent from my LG-MS840 using CC

@italianpnoy112 hey just wondering if you can state your stats and when you got admitted?

I finally got accepted into their Mechanical Engineering Program there today.
I am a transfer with a 3.3 G.P.A.

Congrats to everyone who has gotten in so far and good luck to those who are still pending a decision.

@italianpnoy12 yes it’s even harder for transfer students to get accepted for architecture because the only accept 100 out of 4000 total applicants, but only 20 are transfers while 80 are first time freshman.
