@Jacob In service area correct?

Is Los angeles a service area? I couldn’t find info specificly.

Whoa, whoa! I wasn’t trying to make anyone feel bad about my comment that you should be thinking about going elsewhere if you haven’t been offered admissions yet. “Staying positive” is only wishful thinking, and I was trying to give you some solid, empirically-based advise. I know this because I been following CPP’s admission process since January of 2011. Last year it was a mess as well, but 3,246 first-time freshmen and 1,400 transfers chose to enroll:

http://www.csupomona.edu/~irar/facts/docs/Just_the_Facts_F11.pdf

Significantly up from 2010, when, by being overly selective, CPP was only able to enroll 2,019 freshmen and 1,083 transfers

http://www.csupomona.edu/~irar/facts/docs/Just_the_Facts_F10.pdf

Notice that the average High School GPA went down from one year to another despite receiving more applications. I believe (this is just my opinion) this occurred because they panicked after May 1, 2011, realizing they had overestimated the number of people who would actually enroll, and admitted applicats after such deadline (who, in some cases, were rejected at one point). Will it happen this year again? I honestly don’t know.

A simple question.

Did you guys send in all the 2011 IRS Tax Return Transcript, Household/Status Verification and Student Income Verif Form? They are in my to-do list but I haven’t sent them in because I thought only students who were admitted need to send them in. It was supposed to be due on Apr.6th, So what is going on? If everyone needs to send them in, is it too late for me to do that right now?

Thank you very much.

don’t you only send that in if they select you to verify? or everyone has to do that? where do you get it?

Was that on your todo list cuz I only had my transcripts on mine

Sent from my SPH-D700 using CC

@swangger
Was yours due on APR 6? Mine was due on APR 15 and right now im kind of scared too because i didn’t do it

its not due until like may something i think its messed up because mine said march 30 which makes no sense when i was admitted the 8th of april …

Both my friends were accepted on the 13th.

Both my friends are in the service area.

the service area for CPP includes the following school districts: Azusa Unified
Baldwin Park Unified
Bassett Unified
Bonita Unified
Chaffey Joint Union High
Charter Oak Unified
Chino Valley Unified
Claremont Unified
Covina Valley Unified Glendora Unified
Hacienda-La Puente Unified
LA County of Education
Pomona Unified
Rowland Unified
Upland Unified
Walnut Valley Unified
West Covina Unified

That’s my concern, what is LA County of Education in specific? Is it LAUSD? Or… Is it some sort of secondary education along Los Angeles? Google ain’t helping D:

Who else has this IRS tax return, student income verifcation, househould verification problem? I know a friend who have the following due on APR 20 but I have it due on APR 15 and then i found someobody here on the forums who had it due on APR 6 ? Whats with all these different deadlines? does anyone know if its a mistake?

@konkado I also had a deadline on the 6th. I personally went to the financial aid office to drop of some of the documents and the lady there told me it was a computer-assigned date and that we actually have the entire month to turn in the forms. At least thats the info i was given.

@maT388 Did you get accepted yet? and also the entire month of May?

@konkado Nope, i have not been accepted yet. I dont think it affects the final decision. But as for the month of May, id try and get in before May since we SHOULD be hearing from CPP by the end of the week.

@maT388 Alright thanks but its weird because I asked other people as well and they do not have to do this process even though they signed up for financial aid. I have a friend who got accepted last week and he never had to do any of these and his financial aid was all done for him.

@konkado Yeah same here. Perhaps people who are already accepted will have their financial aid info sent automatically.

@monopoly323 Thats what I was thinking thats why I didnt pay too much attention to turn them in.

@softballkc I am a FTF who is still waiting for admission decision. Complete “Application Received”

@ucirvine789 It better be…

I guess I will just send them in asap, better late than never :/

My deadline is april 21
