Anyone here friends with a celebrity?

Anyone here friends with a celebrity? I mean friends as in "companion" or "neighbor." I highly doubt that anyone here is a CLOSE friend with a celeb.

One of my best friends went to a summer camp in England and met this girl who "knew" Arnold Swarchenegger. The girl lived close by to one of his houses. (supposedly) ^__^
I friended her later on FB. LOL. (Lame, I know...)

Does it count if I am a celebrity?

I am friends with myself.

Knew literally or in a biblical sense?

^ Ohhhhh…

I have a friend who went to school with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s kids.

Pat Quinn (IL Governor) and Jesse White(IL Secretary of State) know my mom by name.

google six degrees of separation

I know Nikki Blonsky from HairSpray and Emily Hughes (the Olympic skater) because they both went to my school and my older sister is friends’ with both of them.

One of the juniors in my school is an international fashion model – does that count?

Umm…actually My grandpa was the former Prime Minister (PM) of Somalia is the 60s (of course when everything was a lot nicer & under control/before the government had become corrupted :p)

Since I can’t copy and paste on here…you can google him “Abdirizak Haji Hussein” or on wikipedia since he has his own page on there LOL. (plus my bro was named after him apparently…haha).

A freshman in my high school is starring in a Disney Channel movie

Justin Bieber’s babysitter

I am close with: Lea Salonga (sings many, many Disney songs), Ted Lindsay, and Gordie Howe. My uncle is famous in the theater scene. My aunt was Scorpina from Power Rangers lmao.

I know Sarah Michelle Gellar (now Prinze), Adam Lambert, Val Kilmer, and Chris Osgood.
I had lunch one time with Drake Bell.

And then I’ve met a lot of famous people but I can’t say that I know them.

Meh.

I have to say, I am very impressed that you know Gordie Howe. Does somebody you know work for the Wings that you would know him and Osgood?

Nope.

Osgood lives a few miles from me and it’s a fairly small town.

Gordie Howe is actually a funny story. He used to have a restaurant in Traverse City called Gordie Howe’s Tavern. One night my parents and I went up there and it had lights on (even though it was around 3 in the morning). We went in and lo and behold there was Gordie Howe and his wife. Apparently, Bob Probert had been in there hours before and threw a credit card at a waitress so Gordie and Colleen (RIP) were in there to take care of the situation. When we came in, they invited us over and we had dinner with them, took pictures, and they gave us their books and stuff. The next day we saw them again at Grand Traverse Mall and they asked us to walk around with them to avoid autographs and fans lol. Since then, they invited us over numerous times up until a few years ago when Colleen got really sick (they moved out of Traverse). Meh.

…someone from the Paris Hilton family went to my school…but that was before I went there.

Julia Roberts was taught by one of my teachers …

I saw Gerald Ford’s funeral procession…

And lots of famous golf people come…along with celebrities to play golf…it’s all about the golf here…

I live a couple blocks from the Kennedy Compound, but that’s about it.

One of my really close friends in my high school sent in a portfolio to the I Model Management Agency, and they chose to represent him. A good-looking gay guy froom Cookeville, Tennessee, was soon sent to NYC for some training or whatever. Now he’s in Singapore. Hasn’t finished high school. Not a celebrity yet, though. But with one of the biggest model agencies in the world, it won’t be long. His name is Eric Bell.
