Anyone here from MA?

For Boston at least, anything west of 128 is the boonies.

Eh...
West of 91, don't look like a squirill, you might be someone's dinner. Franklin/Hampshire/Hamden are cool (except for ware).

What really can't stand, though, is Framingham kids who think they're from Boston.

Im in Worcester and we think anything more than 20 minutes west is straight farmland and the goonies.

Eh, out of curiosity, can anyone from MA tell me what the weather's like there? I've never seen snow or lived in it (obviously), and I'd just like to know what the environment there is like.

Anyone live in Marblehead? I love it....wish I lived there.

yeah, Marblehead is really, really nice.
I go to school in Andover and I'm from Massachusetts.

It sounds like a lot of people define "Western Mass" to be about 20-40 minutes west of themselves! I certainly do. Wherever the MIAA draws the line between "North" and "Central" is what west is to me. Around this area, it's right about the line between Westford Academy and Groton-Dunstable.

Gleech: I didn't know there was a Route 91. I've been out that far but I was probably sleeping in the car.

Sheldon: Do you go to Weston High? Rivers? Elsewhere?

wraider: Don't even tell me you're a Watertown kid.

Righteous: The weather's colder than most of the US, but nice I think. It snows a fair amount and gets cold in the winter, but nothing deadly cold like Minnesota. It also gets pretty warm in the summertime.

yep Weston High...home of the 0-5 lacrosse team and 1-10 football team :)

I live in Georgia but my hometown will always be Haverhill, Mass. One of my favorite places in the world.

Next year I'm going to be in Waltham for college.

^ Brandeis, I assume? :] I just visited last weekend ~ you'll love it there, hehe. I'm applying fall '06 as well! Haverhill is just 10-15 minutes away from us (at Andover... no, not the prep school) Congrats!

weather... is like any other new england state, hehe. LOTS of snowfall in the winters (which are bitterly, harshly, horribly cold but i do live for those snow days), summers are hotttt (80s-90s F...) but still lovely! spring and autumn are nice though - light jacket will do! although it's almost may now and we're still having 40-50ish weather :[ I want my 60s+!

^^everyone moves to GA from the NE, especially Mass, NYC, and NJ.

heybucs, I-91, not a state road, if it makes a difference.

I too loved Brandeis when I went. The whole atmosphere seem to fit me perfectly. One of my best friends is going there next year so I'll be able to find out how it really is

To Heybucs - wraider is from wellesley not watertown. fyi.

I live in a city on the South Shore. Guess where I'm from, lol?
Nah, you don't have to.

Me too! Hingham? Cohasset?
