...you think of UMass? Do you think The Zoo, a bunch of idiots, great engineering, huge library, what? Or do you know absolutely nothing about it?

Nothing about it. Then again, I’m an ignorant Californian and know nothing besides the big name Ivies, LAC, and universities on the east coast.

“The University of Massachusetts. I think there’s one at Amherst. I hear they’re pretty good academically, and Massachusetts is a cool place. I wonder if it’s near the water. John Kennedy was from Massachusetts. ‘We must go to the moon and do these other things, not because they are easy, but because they are haaaaahd!’ I wonder how haaaaahd it is to get in there. It might be nice. Oh, I’m done with college applications. Ah well.”

-my thoughts

UMass has some pretty easy admissions, but it is a v. large school

I think of an average basketball team and a D1 hockey team.

I think of Amherst and then the 5 college consortium and then Amherst College. That would be a nice school to attend.

I also think of the Minutemen, which I think is a cool nickname.

Really gorgeous college town, good parties, school spirit, great engineering, not too hard to get into, marching band, dorms named after presidents or directions.

Both my parents went and I’ve visited a few times with them so I think I know it fairly well.

bad dog, Ac bad!

UMass Amherst is known at the northeasts #1 party school.
Great academics, but the people there are animals
