<p>Shouldn’t the adverbial conjunction start with a semi colon? My book says this is correct, but I think otherwise.</p>
<p>^While I have no formal background in semicolons, it seems as if adding one after the adverbial conjunction would be completely unnecessary, perhaps making the sentence seem a tad bit awkward. It’s usually a rule of thumb to not use “although” as a beginning word for sentences since it usually results in a fragment. I know the semicolon isn’t necessarily starting a new sentence, more like formally dividing it, but the rules still seem to apply in the context of this sentence.</p>
