dang im in AB and we're doing volumes of washers and disks next week. are we moving too fast? we're finishing up areas between curves lol

^^ I don't know about the other BC students...but we did that a while ago (mid-end of november). You may be moving kind of fast for an AB class, but maybe your teacher is doing that so you can have lots of practice for AP exam by the end of the class.

Logistic functions and integration with partial fractions right now. Slope fields seem like a long time ago, but they were really right before winter break.

Taylor and Maclaurin Series right now. Fun stuff.

JP, im at the same.

i know that the people in the bc class at my school have been done with the whole thing for about a month now and they've started heavy-duty review for the ap since winter break

Lets see we've done most types of differentiation, apps of differentiation, related rates, integrals and apps with volume problems too, integration with inverse trig, logs, etc, integration by parts, differential equations, improper integrals, and now we're in the middle of the 39493848 tests for convergence/divergence of series.

yeah we're doing series, sequences, and p-series test stuff for convergence divergence right now as well.

yea...i have a test on that tomorrow...oh wait, i mean today hah

Sorry for such a delayed response christalena, I didn't notice you had left me a question.

I actually took AB as a sophomore, but I'm definitely at the front of the school with regards to that. I'm taking BC with about 15 other seniors (we probably had something like 30 juniors in AB last year?) and 4 other juniors, but this year we have a LOT more juniors in AB. It's pretty much an even split between Pre-Calc and AB for juniors, with about 260 people per grade.

As for the question, we just finished today. :D

We just finished integrals of polar equations and parametric stuff. We're doing slope field now.

Just got a 76% on my diverging/converging test. Whoops! Oh well...

im on slope fields too and im in AB!
still dont kinda get it tho lol

We are finishing up a review chapter on integration/differentiation of logs and exponents, then we have the chapter on vectors and we are done! Time for review =).

What do you mean you're done? You've covered the entire AP curriculum already??

We just finished L'Hopital stuff. Moving on to series or something next.

L'Hopital's rule is cool :)

Taylor and Malcurian

I wish I worked harder in that class, but I have no motivation to do so.

Yeah, we are almost done. But everyone in the class did AB last year, and we have the same teacher this year. So all the AB chapters that took 3 days or more last year take only 30 minutes.

We've done review of Area/Volume, trig integration, trig substitution, series (Taylor, Maclaurin, geometric, alternating, harmonic, etc. ), limits, derivatives, applications of derivatives, integrations (definite, indefinite), limits at infinity, limits, polars, parametrics, u du, arc length. Sorry those are all mixed up, I wrote them as I remembered them.

And as I said, we finished logs/exponents today plus Newton's Law of Cooling and seperation of variables (my favorite). Test on Tuesday/Wednesday.

Then on to vectors.

That's really weird how a bunch of BC classes that don't separate BC and AB into two years are ahead of your class though, LifeUnfolding. (No offense, just an observation)
