"I'm a computer science major and I called today and they told me that I have been accepted to UCSD but I have not yet been accepted to the Engineering department"

is that mean you got accepted to your second major.

exism what you state

Yes I did call that number and I actually live and goto school in SD. It doesn't mean I've been accepted to any major (both are in the Engineering dept.), but she told me if I didn't get into the Engineering department I could chose any other non-impacted major and still attend. I have called a few times and this is the first time it got me anywhere, so I don't know if there is a secret to get any information, but I was told that my final decision would be available on the website by Friday.

"but she told me if I didn't get into the Engineering department I could chose any other non-impacted major and still attend"

Wouldn't that sucks if you got in for something else? The UC application really ought to have a checkbox where we can indicate that we are firm on our intended major. The best I could do was omit the alternative major checkbox. I would rather do my EE major at a lower choice UC than to do some other majors.

ee_stu: if you got into UCLA and Cal you got in UCSD...

as for me I already submitted my SIR to UCLA....and have been telling people I already got in UCSD lol....my entire evidence is that email

I don't know. I didn't get any mails. UCSD is the only university that I haven't yet reported my W in physics 4c from last quarter. And I'm curious as to what financial aid package I might get from them.

But yea, since I'm somewhat undecisive at this point, it would easier for me to decide if they rejected me, lol.

Hey, since you already submitted your SIR, you should withdraw your ap. Maybe someone else could have your spot since UCSD still haven't even finish reviewing aps?
