And if so, did you feel you were underprepared, compared to people that had taken a year of Lit Hum to reference stuff from commonly or stuff like that?

I dunno, the subject material seems interesting to me, but it seems like it's the hardest of my 3 options. Right now I'm signed up for a CC class...

i opted for lit hum when it was my time to make the chioce and i'm glad i did. Lit hum is alot easier....there really is no thinking involved and if you do all the assigned reading when its assigned you're already ahead of the majority of your class....also my lit hum teacher liked the fact that i had actually chosen to take lit hum and its also easier to do well when ur a soph/junior and everyone else is a freshman. As for CC....the ppl who take it usually do so to be with other sophomores....though that is significant i dont think its worth putting yourself through the harder class. I've heard from friends that they didnt feel like they were at a disadvantage not having taken lit hum but i'm sure you are without realizing it....even if it is the extra essay writing practice that everyone else got in lit hum. Bottom line though, in CC u'll fit in alot more....it prob wont be hard to go through the whole year without anyone knowing/remembereing that ur not in CC but in lit hum u'll be a bit more isolated but will have an advantage rather than a disadvantage compared to the other students in the class.

In the long run I would take what you are most interested in and what you would most enjoy. In high school did you enjoy literature, discussing themes, and analyzing character motivation and psychology - then take Lit Hum. If you loved history, philosophy, religion, argumentation and learning the essence of life - take CC. In all honesty I loved both of them (it also depends on who you teacher is) but they are more different in subject matter than they are in style. I think CC is the more difficult of the two because its subject matter is more abstract, the readings tougher, and its populated by sophomores rather than freshman. I would go with your gut however and take the course that fits with your academic interests and strengths.

Arguably the sophs vs. freshmen thing makes CC the easier of the two. Sophs are less likely to read all the works, more likely to cut corners, etc, less likely to care as much about how they do, etc.
