<p>Answer: Yes. It is contained in either the College of Engineering or the College of Arts and Sciences (essentially the same idea, but you can major in it in whichever you're in). I'm not entirely sure what you mean in terms of a "pure" CS major, but I'm thinking you mean no Computer Engineering or otherwise.</p>

<p>If that's the case, then, yes, there is a CS major.</p>

<p>In A&S Comp Sci you get a BA, in CoE its a BS. Kinda different core requirements too, I believe. In engineering, you'll have to take an ENGRI course, CHEM 209, Phys 112 and 213, and either Phys 214 or Chem 208. I don't think you'd have to take near that for a CS degree in Arts, but you'd probably have to take more liberal arts credits, foreign language, etc.</p>
