Cause i'm really excited and I want to meet others....

hi..i got accepted into college of engineering through ED. Somehow it's so rare to see future cornellians from CoE...are you an international student billabongdude44?

Nope, just a californian :)

wow i never knew there are so many californians going to cornell..but apparently there is a lot..

Really?

well i'm the only one i know that's going in my area

but yes, there are about 35 million of us...... quite a bit....

you from NY?

yeh it says on my profile: "location: New York, NY", so that makes me a new yorker. But I haven't really been to upstate new york, I just hope the weather isn't tooo bad up there. It will probably take sometime for a californian to adjust to the weather up there...

lol

yeah, pretty much

it's been in like the 80's for the past week
and yeah... i'm gonna miss it...

im in! in from texas...i dont know if im going to cornell yet tho.

Got into CoE, but still much undecided. I'm in California (bay area) and several people from my school are applying to Cornell.

i got in to CoE too guys!

but i dont know where im going for sure yet either.

cornell is def. a contender!

maybe ill see you guys there!

if by in you mean a likely letter, then yes im in.

But of course

so excited : D

What major is everyone planning to pursue? I'm majoring in chemical and biomolecular engineering..

Yea, i got a likely letter yesterday. I want to study mechanical engineering. I'm hoping to go into alternative energy source research/development. Are most of you going to Cornell for sure, or still deciding?

wow alternative energy source research...
that's exactly what I wrote about on my cornell engineering essay and i think that's what helped me to get in...

it's all about biological engineering

i kind of wanna focus it in on biomedical engineering though : /

I got a likely letter and I'm gonna do mechanical. I wanted to do aerospace, but they don't have that for undergrad.

I wonder how many girls are majoring in mechanical or civil engineering. College of Engineering has a really uneven distribution of the sexes. I'll probably be viewed as a rarity there.

haha i love the gender ratio.

ohhhh godddd

i just saw that the other day

it's a 3 to 1 ratio of guys go girls... i mean i knew cornell had some cuthroat competition but i didn't realize what that competition encompassed....
