So, I asked this one student at UW Honors to share his experience and he said that many people end up dropping from the Honors, not because it’s hard but because of the limited amount of classes. He also said the program is not recognized when you’re applying for a job or grad school.

But that’s just one person’s opinion… Hopefully.

gl92- so far I’ve emailed 3 of the peer mentors and gotten fabulous reviews. I hope thats just a wierd case. And I’m sure that graduationg “with honors” has some impact on a job/grad school application!

I called in and asked how many were waitlisted this year and they said they didn’t have the information yet but they told me about last year’s statistics. 120 were waitlisted and only 13 people got in. :(

I haven’t heard from UW honors as well. My status has been changed to “currently being reviewed, we will send postal mail etc etc” since December 18th, 2009

i just called…they said that they sent my letter two days ago, on April 6th, but THEY WOULDN’T JUST TELL ME WHAT IT SAID AHHHHHHHHHHHHH IF I DON’T GET IN I WILL BE SO MADDDDDDDDDDD!!!

Abravenewworld- the same thing happened to me! best of luck to you!! You’ll probably get it today or tomorrow… though they sent mine on a monday and I had to wait for an entire agonizing week:)

husky13- i put lander honors floor as my first choice!
