Anyone know about Regis U in Denver?

Looking for info beyond what they give on the promo CD and webpage. Thanks!

Just a bit of trivia: I believe Campbell Brown, NBC News, is an alumnae of Regis....Not much help, I know!

Disclaimer: I attend Regis Jesuit H.S. but know less about our University than I should. I am an A.F. brat and have lived here about 3 years, so my local knowledge isn't that great. From what I have gleaned, Regis U traditionally hasn't been all that well-respected, even locally, on an overall basis. I have always thought of it as being kind of an online/adult school, with lots of alternative students; it is definitely a commuter school, by and large, with a pretty small "regular" undergrad population. That said, the nursing and PT programs are top-notch and those grads are extremely employable. Oh yes, and the basketball team kicks butt (D2 level).

Regis does have the potential for growth and improvement, definitely. The high school has improved by leaps and bounds over the past 10-15 years (new facilities and co-education were huge), and I think the University has watched this with some interest. Overall, I'm not sure I would recommend Regis U for a full-time traditional student, outside of the nursing-PT fields (there are definitely better Jesuit colleges out there), but it may be worth exploring, particularly if you are interested in the affiliated health care fields.

I appreciate the input...even the Campbell Brown bit :-) I really appreciated the info on respectability. Ds are interested in bio/biochem...pre-vet stuff and it sounds like they would do better elsewhere. For them, there is no point going out of state unless there is something very enticing about that school. Since Santa Clara is already on their list, as well as other Catholic colleges and Universities it makes sense to keep our search closer to home. (with the exception of Trinity U )
