Anyone know any colleges like this...

I'm looking for relatively small liberal arts type colleges on the east coast that have really strong humanities programs - particularly English, history, Government, and Russian. Pretty much Dartmouth/Middlebury/Amherst/Georgetown type schools. There are a ton of pretty selective schools like this, but anyone know any schools that are a bit easier to get into? I'm having a hard time coming up with safeties. Any ideas of schools to look at would be really appreciated! =) Thank you so much. Oh also, feel free to suggest schools that aren't easy to get into as well. I'm really just trying to broaden my search.

Some to possibly check into are American, Ct. College, Goucher (MD), Muhlenberg ¶, Drew (NJ) and Hobart & William Smith (NY).

Vassar is similar to Middlebury, I think.

look at colgate, hamilton, vassar, wesleyan (not much easier to get into than those schools though)
franklin and marshall, bucknell, skidmore, gettysburg, conn college, and hobart and william smith should be on the safer side for you
also look at bc, american, and george washington if you liked georgetown

Thank you so much. I’ve been looking these schools up and they seem pretty awesome. =) Any more suggestions of schools to look at?

SUNY New Paltz might fit the bill…it would be cost effective as well.

most of the NESCAC schools would fit the bill… add Williams and Bowdoin (for more selective), and Trinity, Bates, and Colby (for some possibly matches i.e. less selective)

in addition to ones already mentioned (Midd, Amherst, Wesleyan, CT College, Hamilton)

also check lafayette, dickinson, and ursinus as less selective options

Also less selective - Wheaton (MA)

Perhaps College of Charleston?
