Anyone know anything about this SOM event?

<p>I'm a soon to be freshmen in management, and I got an email about some kind of orientation event in NYC sponsored by 3 big accounting firms.</p>

<p>On one hand, It could be a good opportunity to schmooze with potential employers. On the other hand, I live upstate and the event is on a weekday so I'd have to miss a whole day of school to schlep down there. And I already have an internship lined up for next summer, so maybe it's overkill.</p>

<p>Also, it just says there will be "light refreshments" so maybe it's not a really big event.</p>

<p>Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the event/has any advice/ knows if it's worth going. </p>

<p>I live in NYC and was going to go, but I keep wondering if anyone else is going to really show up lol. Plus, I’d be going by myself.</p>

<p>Welp, I don’t think I’ll be attending. It’s not worth missing school for a 300 mile trip to light refreshments.</p>
