at CMC this fall 2009? I saw a report that Pomona was up 4%, but CMC seems not to have reported this.

don’t hold your breath…last year, the first word of ED1 apps numbers (growth number only) came to CC via someone hearing the CMC dean of admissions mention it…not in a report. Here’s last year’s ED1 growth first mentioned in late November (post 66):

3/31/09 was the first printed article I recall seeing for CMC class of 2013 applicants, which included RD & ED numbers:
[CMC Defies Liberal Arts Trend with Steady Applicant Numbers The Forum](http://cmcforum.com/news/03312009-cmc-defies-liberal-arts-trend-with-steady-applicant-numbers)

so, bottom line, given CMC’s reporting history, they may not report their numbers until later this spring.

ps…Pomona was up 20% in round 1 ED last year, so perhaps the numbers are finally leveling off. Source, post 55, a NYT article cited here:

Acceptance letters stated that this year’s ED applicants numbers were higher than last year’s “record number”. Doesn’t say how much higher, though.
