Anyone know the Racial Statistics at Harvard?

I'm just curious to know what the student body at Harvard is like. I would like to know the statistics of people who apply and the ones who get accepted.

Thanks

*I posted this 2 weeks ago but didn't ask the question correctly.

It literally is right on the website: [Harvard College Admissions § Applying: Statistics](http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/apply/statistics.html)

Yeah, Ive seen those statistics before. I was actually looking for percentages of each ethnicity who either applied or got accepted, blackbanana

If you are curious about the statistics of some accepted minority students, feel free to browse these threads:

Oh, that would require a bit more searching. I’ll have the links for that shortly. :)

I believe two-thirds of African-American students accepted are West Indian or African immigrants (or children of them).

I’m not too sure if you’ll be able to find the percentage of minority applicants, though; I don’t see why a college would feel beholden to publish such information.

Thank You So Much Ksarmand.

“I was actually looking for percentages of each ethnicity who either applied or got accepted.”

If Harvard published this information, along with legacy and athletic recruit acceptance rates, they would probably face some lawsuits.

^ Doubtful. Harvard’s stated admissions criteria are so vague and subjective (and this is perfectly legal) that quantitative information about applicants would be moot.

Although it’s from a couple years ago, I found this study to be interesting. It focuses on blacks though, not all races. However, Harvard is one of the few in this study that declined to report the number of black applicants and percentage accepted but reported everything else.

Black Enterprise magazine has ranked Harvard as the #4 non-HBCU in the country on their list of best colleges for African-Americans.
