Does anyone knows what kind of text/materials teachers use in AP Comparative Government and Politics classes? Or has anyone self study for this subject? I checked several websites, but it seems like this class contains a lot of discussion and students should read not only text book but a lot of other things....

I self studied the course and thought the AP extremely easy. I'd like to know my score before I boast too much, but if you have an interest in international politics and already know the fundamentals, then all you should need is this one very good quality review book that I used, AP Comparative Government & Politics: A Study Guide by Ethel Wood.

hawaii, that review book alone covered just about everything on the AP? or did you refer to periodicals once in a while to be up to date (or does the AP not test very very recent material?)

Is it a one semester course or two?

well, it goes with US govt and polit, so I'd imagine it's a half year course.

Well, I've always been interested in other countries and already knew I guess the basic fundamentals, but I think the book covers everything you need for the exam. I don't recall anything relating to current events on the exam - the free response questions were about the government structures, not specific current leaders.
