Hello. I was wondering if anyone on here is majoring or has majored in Molecular and Cell Biology Emphasis: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the college of letters and science, I believe. I hope to pursue this major and was hoping that someone who has already experienced it could tell me his or her thoughts of the major, courses, etc. I'd also like to hear anyone else's input who has had some experience with people pursuing this major, or if anyone has taken upper division science classes which are required for this major. Are the classes extremely difficult? How about for lower division courses, like Chem 1A, Biology 1A/B. What about organic chemistry? Is it very very difficult to receive an A? How are the professors? etc. etc. I appreciate anything you have to say! Thanks very much.

many of the classes are pure memorization.

can you memorize stupid structures and pathways?

yeah, that's pretty much all it is. it's robotic.

it's difficult if your memory sucks.
