Anybody know what is it like to major in Biochemistry&Molecular Biology? Is it harder than Biological Science?

Hi, I am currently a junior at UC Davis majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. A major is only hard if it is something you don’t really enjoy. If you enjoy your major, you’ll put in the time studying for it and it won’t be as hard. If you’re a prospective student or a current UC Davis student, switching majors isn’t it a problem. Just take BIS 102/103 to see if you like biochemistry (this is a pretty standard class for college of bio sci majors). Or see how you cope with quantitation and chemistry (Chem2, Chem118). If you like a more well-rounded biology curriculum, you might want to consider majoring in biological sciences, which you also will have to declare an emphasis. As for me, I enjoy chemistry and I feel like things make more sense if you can calculate it, so I haven’t really found biochemistry too difficult yet. I will be taking my first MCB class next quarter.
