Anyone majoring in Public Health?

I just wanted to know if anyone, that received the GMS is majoring in Public Health and will you use the scholarship to help you fund graduate school? I read that GMS covers public health, is this true? Also, what school are you attending? I just need more information on this. Thank you.

I’m a 2nd year MPH student at the U of Minnesota. Gates will cover all your tuition/fees and personal expenses (as determined by your school’s financial aid office) so you’re good to go! Let me know if you have any other questions.

How will we be notified if we are selected as a finalist?

Thank you for responding! So Gates will cover the entire tuition for a masters in Public Health? Irregardless of where I decide to attend, or is it different for certain programs?

I suggest you look at the GMS guidebook for additional details about graduate school funding. The amount of assistance for graduate school is capped at about 36k for private schools and around 21K for nonprivate schools. Keep that in mind. The rule is the same regardless of what school or which graduate program you enroll in.

@ericcalvin: You will get an email and a letter in the mail, I believe…it’s been so long I don’t remember which one came first.

Thanks! I am driving myself insane waiting for the decision!
