@jcmom716 we might have the same exact kid!! Wouldn’t it be funny if they played the same video games online!? Lol. Keep me posted.
Mine mentioned paying a visit to the school store there over spring break as an excuse to visit again and get a T-shirt to get the ball rolling.
Maybe an “accidental on purpose” meeting as Larry David would say.
Will definitely check back in on the forum after our visit to the campus. And of course before that when we get news about our EA application!
@EnquiringMom Sounds like a plan!
I applied EA I believe the night of October 25th and received an email this afternoon telling me my applicant status portal had been updated. I logged in and saw that I was admitted and awarded the top Dean’s scholarship of $120,000 ($30,000 a year).
Congratulations!!!
My son’s in EA, too! He’s very happy. Already signed him up for the 4/15-16 Admitted Student visit.
Welcome to Wooster for all of you who received good news! We’ve been very, very happy… I’m the parent of a Wooster junior (currently studying abroad but will be home in a few weeks and back on campus next semester). Feel free to pm with any questions!
@1518mom that’s the weekend we are taking my son up as well! :). So excited he’s happy with the choice abs can enjoy the rest of the school year.
And @janjmom thanks very much for the mention. Always good to hear from existing students.
@EnquiringMom We will have to meet. I met another mom from CC in person when we went for an admitted student visit for our D15s. They ended up at the same school. The mom and I have continued our friendship through Facebook and email. We both have seniors this year so we’ve been sharing advice and updates on our kids’ progress.
Congrats families on the acceptances!! My son hasn’t heard yet. He heard from another school earlier in the week, and is hoping to hear from Wooster before XMAS break. @janjmom it’s great to know your son is enjoying this year as well. Enjoyed chatting with you months back, very helpful! Happy Thanksgiving to all!
@1518mom and anyone else interested in this thread who ends up at the April 15-16 overnight visit, let’s definitely arrange a meet when we know the timeframes.
Here also another family anxiously awaiting news from Wooster @jcmom716! Happy Thanksgiving!
My daughter received her email and scholarship (Deans? $28K) a few days ago. She has decided against Wooster but good luck to the rest of you!
Hi @PAclgmom can you share why D has decided against Wooster?
@PAclgmom Has she made a decision? I saw on the class acceptances some of the other schools and wondered if she was choosing between those or waiting on others. We visited one and know a student at another. Best wishes to her!
She is choosing between Juniata and Otterbein. She is looking for a particular campus culture, and those two schools most closely meet her needs. Also, Wooster’s merit aid was great but because of the cost of that school, it ends up being the most expensive of the four.
D applied EA and today received her acceptance and 30 k per annum scholarship. Big relief!
Congratulations @Reva66!!! It was a big relief for us as well.
Ty, congrats to you too!
To any signed up for April 15 visit, It’ll be a jam packed 24hrs but registration doesn’t start till 2p that Sunday so if anyone is interested we could meet for lunch at Spoon deli (144 w Liberty st) around noon?
