I know November 15th is the date they say they will notify you by but I was curious if they will mass contact all ED applicants on the same day, or if they are notifying as they approve. If anyone can speak to recent prior years that would be helpful as well. Every year they seem to have bumped the date up though so I guess we are lucky the notify date is as early as it is on Nov 15th this year! Thanks!
I have the same question but for EA, so we’ll be waiting a bit longer still!
Looking at prior years threads it seems that the decisions get posted all at once via the online portal.

Nice! Thanks for the update. Seems like Wooster sticks to the dates mentioned on their website. We’ll have to wait till 12/31 for EA notifications…
Do you know whether the notification today will include details on any scholarships/financial aid?
We filled out the financial predictor request a while ago and they sent us a letter within 2 weeks of how much they would offer him in merit if he was accepted. Luckily for us that letter arrived (snail mail) right before the Nov 1 deadline for ED so he changed his application status from EA to ED then.

Totally worth a few minutes to fill out as Wooster is really good about giving money towards tuition. It sealed the deal for us!
We did that too Response was surprisingly fast… We did not convert our EA to ED though since we did not visit the college (yet).
We actually live in Ohio but are relatively new to the area and I’d never heard of Wooster. Once we visited the campus though I wanted to go back to college myself! lol It really is a great balance of small but not remote feeling, and they had classes my kid was interested in so it was win win.
Did you hear back today from Wooster? My son has applied EA. He has a few other schools in the running, but he liked his visit and the students he spoke with. Best wishes to you!
We did! By 4:30 today they had updated his status in the application portal as promised and he got in! We are all very happy as it was his first choice after visiting a couple different schools.

Congratulations! Sounds like a celebratory dinner out this weekend! It could be an interesting few months here. My son should hear next month on two schools, and two more will be a wait. Then he is thinking one or two overnights, and right now thinking Wooster will be one. We shall see…Again congrats!!

@EnquiringMom @WilliamNYC Add mine to the gathering if he gets in. He applied EA. The financial aid estimator confirms that Wooster is affordable for us. It’s my S18’s top choice, but he wasn’t willing to apply ED because there’s another school whose location he might like better. I prefer Wooster for him. I looked for threads on this page to see when past EA admissions were posted. It looks like it may be at the end of their first semester. Time will tell.
Sorry to be a party pooper but my son is NOT going to appreciate me being involved with setting up a gathering. Haha.
We didn’t convert to ED because we still have to visit the school. Looking forward to the trip. Sometime in March/April probably.

If yesterday is any judge, they emailed on the exact date they said, so I would think you all will hear Dec 31. But with the holidays maybe they will be nice and send it out sooner. I look forward to hearing from all of you here in 2018!
I imagine all our sons feel that way. Its hard to stop trying to set up playdates. LOL Mine would die of embarrasment reading this.
My guess (hope) is that EA applicants will hear back from Wooster on Friday, December 29! Possibly Thursday the 28th.
Admissions officers too deserve to relax during the last weekend of the year.
@WilliamNYC Do let us know how it goes with the visit! Sometimes a visit can provide clarity, but not others. I know our first visit to Wooster it was a spring visit day. Although my son liked it, it thought it was a bit of a show. Later he did a separate visit and interview which he preferred much better. It might depend on the type of kid. My son likes smaller groups, has a good small group of friends, and can get along with almost anyone…yet still likes his downtime playing video games online :))
