I was one of the lucky ones back in July to be "randomly" selected for aid verification. Although, UCI recieved all my documents on time, they still have not given me any aid. I have tried calling and emailing but they are still saying " we will get to it." Is anyone having the same problem?

The only thing I can tell you is that you keep insisting!

Did you tell them where to send your funds?
They want you to do a fill something out.
Something about a Direct Deposit (DEFT)

Yes, I have filled out the Direct Deposit. Today, they finally told me that they cannot find the signature on my tax forms ! I scanned and emailed the tax forms to my counselor but I dont know if her computer can open the pdf documents. I hope I recieve something before the 15th…

Well I’m sure she can read PDFs but the question is if she specified for you to send in another one through mail or said it was ok to scan them :

The same thing happened to me a while back! I was fortunate enough to have my parents at SPOP and signed the papers there! It took exactly one week to get the award. Hopefully they do yours much faster!

PoorCookie, I mailed, e-mailed, and I am planning on faxing it if they want me too. I am using every option because they always seem to lose my documents…

Dan556, it is good to know that I am not the only one.

Btw, does anyone know if they will automatically take care of my fees ( if I get my aid before 15th) or will they deposit the money in my direct deposit account and require me to do it?

I recieved an email today informing me that they will check my direct deposit account for 5 business days and then start depositing money. Which means I wont recieve aid after 15th…well at least I know that is my fault.

Well my fees were paid on their own. I think they deposit the money into your zot account and then whatever remains is deposited into your bank account.

^ yup exactly

hp20021: I kept calling and emailing and left voicemails and no one was returning any of my messages so I went up there 2 days ago. They didn’t finish my award so they gave me an emergency loan and that took care of my registration fees fir the fall. My award is suppose to be finished soon so once it is, the aid will automatically kick in to pay off my loan. I suggest you go into them ASAP

hp, They lost my tax forums too, even though the online site said all tax forms were received last April. If I hadn’t gone in person to talk to them when would I have ever found out?

Caitlyn, good thing you talked to them in person. I would have certainly talked to them in person if I knew that the " recieved-on time" was a lie. They finally told me about the missing signatures when I told them the magic words " I might drop out." Now my counselor says that she will have my aid by this Monday, but I bet I will hardly get any money since there wont be much left…
