I still haven't received my financial aid from UCI yet and the deadline is coming up. My application status says that they have received all of my documents and that my award will be available shortly. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I am experiencing the same thing as well. I heard from them that they’re really backed up and that it might take awhile to finish the awards.

If it says that you should have it shortly then I don’t think you should worry. You should still give them a call though and see what’s up. Good Luck!

Ok coolbeans! Yaa I’ve called them every day this week and they’re not even taking calls at the moment bc theyre just too busy…

Still a bunch of people that haven’t received it yet.

Deadline is the 15th i would start panicing around the 7th-10th next month

Grrr…I was able to look at my finaid rewards until now. It now says,“Your financial aid award is currently being reviewed. Your updated award should be available within the next ten days.”

Ok don’t wait until the 7th-10th of next month… that is way too late. You’re financial aid may not be the same as it was back in April. I actually lost money so I needed some loans. It took me four days to get the loan I requested. So far I have paid my fees and all I need to do is pay housing. Don’t wait too long and don’t hesitate in calling the Financial Aid Office.

Honestly if you call them, they’ll just give you the same bs answer(I’ve tried still waiting on my aid package) . I would panic in ~7 days though it should be out before the weekend hopefully.

It would suck going into labor day weekend without financial aid

I have been waiting for my financial aid too. Today I called to find out why it was taking so long and they were CLUELESS. After checking, they apparently LOST copies of my family’s income taxes! Were they ever going to notify me about this?

So even if you go online and it reads “Received on time, Under review” - don’t sit and wait for them. Now I have to give them all the documentation again but this time I have a counselor to talk to and he told me he would get it done this week. I won’t believe it until I see it.

I understand what you’re going through Caitlyn. Whenever it says “Received on time, Under Review” it means that there is something most likely missing. That is what happened to me and they do take long in letting you know. That is why I said that it’s better to call because they can tell you if something is wrong. Good luck!

Is anyone having trouble getting a hold of them? I’ve called 3 times a day for the last week to speak to a representative and it goes straight to a voice mail saying that they are full of voicemails and to try the call another time :(

Sweetiexo you should call one of the other departments and tell them to transfer you to the office of financial aid…that is what I did when the aid department did not pick up.
