Anyone still waiting?

Yeah, I doubt it's broken, it's just a slow system (it takes a while to send 25,000 emails!).

The point is - whether the system is broken or not - they chose to send decisions by e-mail ONLY. I can't say how wrong that is. With e-mail, there will always be people whose accounts spam the message or don't receive it. E-mail is an imperfect technology, especially for high-stakes, high-volume college decisions.

stanford doesn't send mail to rejected applicants...

I hope so!! really really hope so.. I am so tired of waiting.. Is anybody else also tired.. best part is i've been waiting for the past 14 hours nonstop!

Wait, are people still receiving e-mails as we speak? Like, within these past thirty minutes has anyone received their Stanford notification?

Really??

I look forward to my offer~

JDorian, two people have apparently (see Kamara's posts, for one).

yeah,
in the rejected students thread someone posted the letter of rejection.. and it says that "to be environmentally conscious" or something like that they don't send out letters
and also to save you the pain of going through it twice

lol, so it's not just me who's still waiting....

welcome to the party....

The only thing that helps calm my nerves is the knowledge that there are many people waiting as I do around the world. Very happy to talk to CCers. Guys, you're all so nice~ I enjoy your company during this hard time~

Excellent, it's good to know that we probably will not have to wait til Monday if there is still a slow trickle of people receiving theirs.

sooo in theory 1000 emails per hour means we are getting it no later than 3pm Pacific time

haha 1000 emails per hour already sounds quite intense... Why oh why am I part of the later batch....

Not that I don't like hanging with you guys or anything, I just wanna know ;)

If we happen to get into Stanford and decide to go there...we should definitely meet up and confront the admissions staff as a whole and be like "Hey, can we have eighteen hours of our lives back? Thanks."

lolx..........

woow they should at least send out rejection letters in those stupid 9x12 envelopes they so desired

We better get in. Or I'm going to pull out my gats and just shoot up the place.

I didn't see that part about the envelopes and stuff. I wonder if they care so much about it that they'd reject me for using normal envelopes.

(G3N) hahahahaha
