Anyone Still Waiting?

btw I know you guys are waiting patiently…sorry but I don’t have anymore patience. I had to vent

Good luck.

@hardworker I do agree that this IS unprofessional. They should have just sent out letters and not e-mails like they have been doing in the past. I understand your frustration though. I stalked out the mail man today and received nothing. I probably have more concern than anyone because my stats are extremely low compared to everyone else and seeing some people write, “If you haven’t received anything, you’ve been rejected,” puts me down and I’m really doubting myself right now, but anyway, only can pray and hope for the best : )

^You need to understand that you will be fine regardless of college decisions. Acceptances and rejections do NOT define who you are, but rather what people think of you (adcoms, at least). These people make decisions based on paperwork that thousands of students submit, and they are only allowed to admit about 30 out of every 100. Let me accentuate my point further: You will be fine.

But I have to let you know that, if you haven’t received anything from them thus far, you are most likely rejected.

Now, I could be wrong, but I am most probably right.

what are you basing this off of?

@Lobzz It’s on or about April 1st. Just because some people received their letter early isn’t an indication that people who get theirs when they’re SUPPOSE to are rejected, and even if I was rejected I would still like to know. I’m going to NYC next week for Spring Break and would like to know if I can attend the Preview weekend or not, so it isn’t just about being accepted/rejected for some people.

My school is a 15 minute walk from NYU. This is getting ridiculous.

i got the acceptance email into stern but no packet yet in kentucky :(

Still in CA. Still nothing.

@Chorapenese: This is exactly what happened last year. Everyone who hadn’t heard up until this time last year ended up getting a rejection email by April 1st or 2nd (don’t remember). This is EXACTLY what happened. I could still be wrong because maybe a few students ended up getting acceptances that I didn’t see, but at this point, I just don’t see how they can invite that many students to admit week and leave everyone else in the dark. It’s pretty obvious.

acceptance email but no packet! In california.

i agree;this is ridiculous, at this point. i’m in new freaking jersey. i have half a mind to drive on up to nyu, burst in to the admissions office, make a big scene, & demand my decision! potter fan, whatya say? -_-

Havent received anything in Philadelphia, not even any emails. Havent really followed the NYU admission timeline much though so Ill just hope for the best at this point.

I would like to think God played an April Fool’s joke on me today: I prayed and asked for a “big envelope” today and as I stalked out the mailman I saw him put a big envelope in the mailbox. I almost died running down the stairs, went outside in my PJs, got to the mailbox & it was a “big envelope” alright…to Georgia State! It’s kind of funny, but then again I wish it was from NYU lmao xD

Ughh! For a second, I thought you got it from NYU!!

Well I guess I am not expecting anything. I am kind of hoping I get into one of the ivies by chance because after how things have been going, that’d be the best possible thing in the world right now :)

@hardworker So did I! I was like “Omg Omg Omg” because I was watching from my window, almost broke my neck getting downstairs and then all the excitement dropped. Like I didn’t just get into a college lol At this point I’d be content with a rejection letter. I prefer an acceptance, but this is getting out of hand. Nothing at all? Quite annoying.

I’d be sweating bullets if I applied to an Ivy right now. NYU should have the online acceptance thing too. That would be way better than this. Good luck to you!

I’m from SoCal still waiting for my admissions decision. I never received an acceptance email so I’m very anxious because NYU is one of my top choices. Still hoping for the best, though.
