No, I am a math major elsewhere (as my location indicates I guess), but I like reading and responding to some of the MIT threads, as there seem to be intelligent people with a positive attitude here.

My former highschool math teacher graduated from Berkely. He is the best teacher I ever had!! I am still working with him.
Thanks for helping those students

I took AP Calc AB my senior year. The class, I mean, not the test =)
My SAT MathII was a 650.
I got into MIT.
There is hope.

u were probably an URM

@ Djokovic - I would HOPE that Vivi’s race didn’t change after MIT’s acceptance.

Also, why the sudden URM assumption? It’s not nice to automatically assume that just because someone’s scores are lower than average for a school, that he/she is an URM.

Yeah, actually, it’s rather inappropriate, and a nasty trend that I sincerely hope won’t continue as we enter the time of EA decisions.

-Your usually friendly moderator

^^ Since I highly doubt the trend will stop, perhaps you will cook up a way to help people ignore these posts!

I thought a veiled threat might work better than explicitly noting that I have the power to delete rude posts. ;)
