Anyone want to chance me for some top 25 U's ?

I will be a junior next year, and i want to see how much chance i have of being accepted to top universities when i apply.

I attend a very small, 30 students christian high school in Iowa. We have higher academic standards and ACT scores than large public schools around here, but most students choose to go to community college or small 4 year state U's nearby upon graduation. My GPA currently is 4.0 and I expect it to stay around there throughout high school.
Sophomore year, i took both algebra 2 and geometry honors, and rest were regular classes. Since our school's so small we take many courses online through a provider.
Next year i plan to take AP lang or honors english, honors pre calc, honors chemistry, bible, band, choir, spanish 2 and AP macroeconomics, US history , and a community college class second semester.

ACT score is 31, but im going to try to get it higher.

EC: I've been playing Piano for 10+ years. We have weekly service chapel, and I lead worship with playing piano and guitar.
First saxophone player in band.
Bass singer in choir.
I play piano for church and also play saxophone in church band.
I was the sophomore class president, and possibly junior class president, and I'm going to try to go for secretary position or class rep in student council senior year.
I will be in national honor society next year and we organize blood drives, and operation christmas child. I plan to suggest an idea of coming up with a new club such as DECA.

I play varsity football and soccer at a local public school, and I will probably receive all conference academic award for soccer. I've been playing Varsity soccer for 4 years now.
I play JV basketball at my school, and i plan to write about it in my essay because it really inspired me.
I play indoor soccer as well, and I might play club soccer in summer.

Volunteer:
Library
Food bank - won 500 $ for organizing a skit in a skit competition.

Will have 150+ volunteer hours at the food bank.
Plan to go to Korea the next summer to teach english.

There you go, those are my stats..how am i doing?
I plan to apply to cornell aem, usc , duke, emory, northwestern, u of illinois, wisconsin, michigan, UCLA, indiana U -kelly. Also chance me on other top 25 u's.. oh and I will probably have to apply as an international?(I'm not sure because we will have lawfully applied for green card by the time I apply..so i will probably be classified as international.)

Oh and i want to major in economics/business :)

oh and I won’t apply for financial aid, to those who are need-sensitive.

i’m also asian…so i thought having 3 varsity sports would help…

bumpbumpbumpbump… any comments would be appreciated!

Are you also applying to HYP and possibly Wharton?
Solid grades, how’s your rank?

You can edit your post you know.

^What do you mean?

@lebronjames I think SgtDonut was addressing his comment to the OP since the OP posted several posts after his initial one because he/she forgot to say some things :)

I think it’s too late to edit it now… :stuck_out_tongue: but @ lebronjames, i have the highest gpa in my class as of now…but I’m not sure if my school ranks because we have 30 people in high school. Also…I don’t think I’ll apply to HYP, seems like a huge reach for me unless I score 35+ on ACT…I’m not really sure, that’s why I wrote on here to ask how I’m doing :P

im in CA and those stats look good for UCLA/UCB
you might have an edge since out of state= more $ for them :)

look at my thread please:.

those stats are definitely on a great track for any of the public schools that you’re applying to, as well as USC and emory. obviously, when u hit ivy level schools, it gets more tricky, since some of their decision making is just random. but it looks good. try and go for some good test scores, and definitely aim for national merit scholarships and so on. i think what it really comes down to is how well you do on your essays, because when people have stats like yours, with tons of different, impressive extracurriculars, colleges start looking for that little bit extra. they want to see what kind of personality you have, and whether or not you come across as someone who is genuinely passionate, or who is just doing these activities and taking these classes in order to get into a top school.

thanks for the inputs…probably will be hard to get in UCLA/UCB because I have to apply as an international student… :frowning: :(

bumpbump  :)

from what I see your on track to being accepted to most of the top 25, but its still kind of too early to tell

thanks. i was asking for my chances of getting in if I kept up these stats.

bummpppppp

Proabably the lower half is likely, while unless the ACT comes I don’t think you can get into the top 10-15.

Would act score of 33+ help my chance?

You have a great shot.
I am very impressed with your rank, GPA, AP courses, and your passion in your ECs.
It is not a laundry list.
