I called them today... they havn't even graded mine yet... my sister also hasn't gotten hers yet... I told them i needed them for scholarships and applications they said "Its only week 4"... Due to not knowing my scores, I am going to have to sent a previous test date along with a few apps... I'm gonna call tomorrow and suggest that since they haven't graded my test that they pay for the sending of the previous tests because originally they said that the October Test would be graded in time... we will see...

site is still down...

that is impractical and quite frankly absurd. graded in time? it says 3-7 weeks, not 3 weeks.

site isn't down for me..

oh wow the site is down for real now for me too..but it seems more like a technical problem, not uploading of scores...

If I sent my scores out tomorrow for priority they should make it for Nov. 30th correct?

Scores aren't up....Site is up.....Sigh

lol i just say screw act. Im taking the sat this saturday so i dont really care about these results right now. Why does everyone have their scores, but not me?

^nah a lot of epople don't have scores man :/

a lOOOOOOT of ppl don't have their scores

haha i emailed the tribune about a week ago and they actually looked into it. ACT gave her the same spiel and she's going to look into it again if scores are delayed more often. This is going in conjunction with ACT having problems with handling the ACT scores of the Illinois test last spring.

I'm surprised I was actually responded to!

(btw, its been one month today)

Do you guys think that it seems like there are a lot of people who haven't received scores because they post here? People are probably coming to this forum to see if there is news about why it is being delayed, when they might not come otherwise. I started reading this forum because I hadn't received my scores, and I was wondering what the reason was. I think it seems like a lot of people, when in truth it might not be. (just a thought)

Still no scores for me :(
I will hope for tomorrow

i called them three times:

1st time, the lady said the my test has been scored.
2nd time, lady says that the test is in the process of being scored.
3rd time, the lady says THEY HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED SCORING MY TEST.

and the third time was today. i don't think they freaking empathize with us at all. i am taking the test again in 10 DAYS. .....i probably won't have a score before i take the next test? THAT IS RIDICULOUS.

i am so angry. ....

I think we spoke with the same ACT rep, lol
I went through the same exact thing. I signed up for the December test also, and I think we might actually get them before our October results come in, haha

Im flipping out, Penn State needs them by the 30th, I need them tomorrow or else IM ****ed.

Just out of curiosity: Where did anyone get the idea that they were entitled to scores before seven or eight weeks after testing?

^thanks mrs. ferguson. we are entitled spoiled brats who like our ACT scores when they are expected.

I spoke to admissions officers from various colleges whose deadlines are either November 30th and December 1st, and representatives from ACT and they all told me, without hesitation, that I will "definitely have my scores by then". Secondly, i think it is simply unfair to give out grades as soon as they are available, to only some people, they should wait until they are all done and graded. I know this is truly unfair because a) People have received their mail score reports and b) International Students have received scores already. That is why I feel like we are not being treated fairly by them. Plenty of people have called ACT and they give everyone different answers, they have jobs that include work, and they are clearly not getting it done, to only post grades twice a week is an outrage, I discourage anyone taking the ACTs from this day forward.

theres a message that says the site will be down tonight. Im not expecting anything, but atleast theres a sign of hope.

Well gee Mrs. Ferguson, how about precedent? How about being promised by the ACT itself that the scores would be received in time for a December 1st deadline (I asked two individuals about SPECIFIC colleges and they assured me that they would be received by this time). This may not only affect my admission's status but my receiving a scholarship in order to attend. The ACT is inadequately prepared compared to its competitor College Board (which in my opinion, reigns supreme!). They won't accept responsibility for it taking beyond the expected time and feel no remorse, and they're not even making a worthwhile attempt to rectify the situation! A two-day work week? Absolutely ridiculous!

I live in the Midwest where ACT dominates by far and few people take the SAT each year, however, the lead College Counselor at my school has told me that he'll be encouraging more people to take the SAT next year because of the ACT's inconsistency. I don't think that the ACT will have to worry about having record-breaking numbers.. it's all down-hill from here!
