I have a week until the exam, and I haven't started studying at all... How long did you study to get that 800? Is it extremely difficult? Alright?

OMG samee... im just reveiwing a chapter two hours this weekend... and i have the PR book and it has 7 chapters, up the material starts on chap 3, so i have 8 hours of review on sat, and then on sun i review, and then monday im going to take all the test... good luck!

I took the SAT bio & I think I did alright...

but know your genes, chromosomes, molecular biology etc.
you'll do just fine

Not to sound harsh, but if you really want that 800, you wouldn't be worried about the length of time it takes to achieve the 800. Just go through a prep book and take a few practice tests. If you feel like you've mastered the material, you'll do fine. Bio really is a memorization contest, unfortunately memorization isn't my great forte, so I ended up in the somewhat low 700s.

Has anyone used the PR book? Is the material deeper than that though? Seems pretty basic to me... Does the real test include a lot of random unseen material (unexpected, basically, is what I mean)?

yes, I used the pr book. It was good and concise and I felt like it had everything I needed. The Kaplan was a nice addition b/c it had good reviews at the end of each chapter.

SPARKNOTES BOOK (yes they have a book out) is really good for sat II for bio. It def helped.
Cliff notes is good for the ap exam.
