what book did you think helped sink in that 800? THANKS!!

I used a combination of AMSCO and the giant AHAP review. Pretty much anything that works for the AP will be fine for the SAT II.

Here's the giant AHAP review:

Well, I got a 780 and I used Kaplan. Except I honestly glanced at the last 20 years of history since my teacher didn't cover it in APUS. I did like one practice test. Thank you for awesome teachers in history!

I used a textbook, "American History, a Survey". After reading through that once, and taking notes on my computer, I read through the REA AP USH book twice. In the last week before the test, I glanced through my computer notes and perused quickly through the REA book to make sure little facts didn't get lost.

790 here. I read REA for APUSH... it included a lot of the information people found to be really obscure on the last test (like the Hudson River School, for example).

I skimmed over REA for APUSH, then did PR APUSH. Plus I had read most of the American Pageant during the year, and a lot of the obscure art and author questions just come from random places.

800, i used my history text book (i basicly re-read it for the AP). but anyway, its impossible to know everything, but if you understand historical trends, you can narrow down your choices even if the question is rather obscure.

790 here [from january test]

read rea BOOK which was muy helpful .. lol

Also--> SAT has some random stuff about women's rights...review the key players in that field.

none at all! LOL... use your mind and a calc!! i didn't practice and i got perfect 800... well, if you really need to, check out a book from your local library. ok, peace out and good luck :)

A calculator on the SAT II history? Huh? I got a 780, I used Kaplan for practice tests and Printon Review's AP History for AP practice tests, but must of my studing was through a book called "The Enduring Vision - A History of the American People" and in class jeopardy games!

AMSCO and REA

800, I just skimmed the PR AP book and did three practice AP MC tests. I didn't do any prep specifically for the SAT II.

haha I used SAT II US History for Dummies . . .

800... I didn't do any prep after the AP USH test. For that, I read the first half of the REA AP USH book (up through the end of the Gilded Age). The more recent stuff was still pretty fresh in my head from class. No practice tests on my own, but I'd say the MC tests we did throughout the year in class were good prep for AP/SAT II questions.

I'm all about AMSCO, that book has saved me so many times...

Hey, 790s and 780s, the question wasn't directed towards YOU.

hehe :)

800... amsco and online quizzes

Wow -- so you're one of those "better be perfect or else, people"

I'm ecstatic about my 790 I got in January..

Hey kings, the "hehe :)" wasn't enough to signal a joke? No? Should I make it more clear next time, just for you?

Ildjing,

What SAT II US History on line quizzes did you use? Thanks.
