im over it, whatever.

Ok, congratulations. You came to this board with the intentions of being downright rude to people who study to do well for the SATs? Good for you that you're happy with your 1820, but get you and your inferiority complex out of here please.

Ok, congratulations. You came to this board with the intentions of being downright rude to people who study to do well for the SATs? Good for you that you're happy with your 1820, but get you and your inferiority complex out of here please.

Your tone is sarcastic and unproductive, creating a negative tone on the board.

a) "Ok, congratulations"

b) "Good for you that you're happy with your 1820, but get you and your inferiority complex out of here please" -- come on

I don't see how I am being un-understanding, let alone "downride rude", nor the original poster
a) I acknowledged that in some situations, it makes perfect sense to, say, retake a 790 if you were trying to get into somewhere which would require it. Furthermore, the original poster of the thread may have been considered rude with his impression: "OMg teh 2290" etc, but it's a surprisngly accurate depiction, although its obviously a hyperbole.

b) I was extremely careful to back up everything I said with valid reasoning and examples. Even if the original poster was rude, you're still killing your point.

Nobody has contested any of the good arguments presented by people who somewhat agree with the original poster

a) That for a lot of the people here, score change is negligent in terms of college admission.

b) Although high standards are good, the sheer magnitude of the perfectionism present here can become absurd, and these kinds of attitudes are only going to be detrimental to many peoples' lives.

You provide a perfect example of the elitism which some people previously posted about on this thread (Although I did not address this). If you're not going to support your own point of view by saying something meaningful, it'd be better to just say nothing at all so that you can be sure to avoid supporting the other.

peace

[This was editted per jq72's post]

Did I miss and edit or something?

BTW: valikor2: I think he is responding to the first post in this thread

I editted my last post...

Also, I suppose it would be considered 'rude' to call peoeple "lifeless machines", but most of the stuff I wrote still stands... and whether or not the original poster does a good job of presenting his argument is irrelevant, beacuse it still has a lot of validity to it..
