<p>So some of you may know that if work study is covered and there exist extra scholarships, one can get up to 1500 for computer supplies. </p>
<p>To those who will go through this or have already: do you get the money or do you have to buy it and get a "refund" of some sort. </p>

<p>We had the same deal. How it worked in our case was we bought the computer, then sent a copy of the paperwork to Columbia. They then reduced the amount they billed us for school by that amount (effectively they refunded our money).</p>
