If I wasn’t on a gap year I would be 17 years old on my college freshman year. So, I was kinda young.

I am starting my Junior Year and I am 15.

I’m 16 going into my senior year, and I’ll also graduate at 16, but then turn 17 right after, in time to go to college. I skipped 2nd grade, so that’s why I’m the youngest in my grade.

Early on, I was always the shortest in my grade, so that was pretty odd, but then that evened out in high school. The driving thing was pretty awkward, but, ironically, I’m now the only person in my IB class that can drive alone!

Really, there have been 2 major drawbacks. First, you have to explain ALL THE TIME why you’re younger. Secondly, everyone suddenly gets giant expectations of you. I was doing 2nd grade work in 1st grade because I finished the 1st grade work so quickly, my teacher would get the older work for me to self-teach, and she would just answer questions. After I skipped a grade, I still managed to get all A’s consistently, so now my parents constantly expect the highest grades, and for me to do the best. I want it too, don’t get me wrong, it’s just a little nerve-wracking to have them always pressuring me.

I am 16 and a senior as well… I’ll turn 17 in jan. next year…
Its not that bad honestly… Atleast not for me…

I’m 15 and about to be a senior, I’ll be 16 in October. My school had a December first cut off so I was always young for my grade and then I skipped a grade. I go to a small school where I have had friends from every grade level, so its never bugged me.

15 and a junior. I love it and want to try and finish college early.

I’m 17 and I’m entering my freshmen year of college = )

Sent from my ADR6300 using CC

16 and a Senior, turning 17 in May. But yeah, being a bit older helps a lot for ECs, especially leadership

Lol. Some guy in grade ahead of me graduated at 16. Did a ton of the middle college stuff and has the possibility of getting his B.S. by 18. Just a btw, he wasn’t one of those graduate asap guys. 2400 SAT, USAMO, Chem Olympiad, Phsyics Olympiad, research/internships, all that jazz.

I’m fourteen and I’m a sophomore. There are five or six people in my grade that are in the same situation as me.

One of the downfalls is that I won’t be able to drive until right before the end of junior year, while I have friends who already have cars. Another downfall is that I’m too young to do any job except babysit. Also, last year, my friend pointed out that I was the only “mature” person who was a grade ahead, all of the other girls were still stuck in the eighth grade mentality and were annoying. I’m still not sure why she thought that I wasn’t annoying…but whatever :p

Youngest person in 9th grade

I am a 15 Year old Junior.
I skipped the 5th Grade.

At first I felt too young as a freshman, barely turned 13 so I was shy. But, when I became more mature in late Sophomore year, I lost that shyness so I guess being young in high school causes one to be “less” socially developed and aware. But, it’s not that bad looking back at it.

I’m going to be 15 when I graduate. I skipped a couple years in elementary school, so I’ve been the youngest in my grade for a long time.

Nope. 17 and a senior. December birthday.

@1sparkle2 if you’re turning 17 in December then you’re young for your grade, but if you’re 17 now you’re normal. I’m turning 17 next month and will be 17 entering college.

Turning 17 in march as a senior … I can’t really say if being young has been positive or negative, but I sure do like my class better than the class of '15!
