It's only about two more weeks before I have to pay fees and mine is still "being" revised. I called a couple times and they gave the usual "wait" spiel. I just want to know if anyone else is in the boat.

Thank you.

Yup, the lady said that I should call back like a week before the deadline and if still nothing than to try to defer my payment or pay out of my pocket. She said there were still a lot of people in front of me, so I honestly don’t expect to hear back until like the beginning of Oct. The department seem like really slow.

yeah, man. it’s ridiculous. i already owe around 9k and i don’t even have close to that amount which makes me wonder how i’d pay it out of my pocket in the first place.

what does a deferment do?

Hrm… the only thing about the financial aid payment plan is that I don’t have anything in my tab 7. So I’m not sure how that would work.

Also this page: [UCSB Business Services - Forms](http://www.busserv.ucsb.edu/forms.htm#Billing)

That’s what I found online. But if you want more info it says to call the BARC office.

ooh, sorry Deferment just sort of extends the deadline without penalty, well sort of I think it said you had to pay 25 dollars.

i just recieved mine tonight via financial aid website. ***, my cost of attendance is like 53k for some reason ( 0 PC and SC). but anyways, i can receive around 21k per year, and the cost of attendance on their website said 22k per year lol. Good enough?

nvm, got mine… dang, only 12k a year and my cost of attendance is 30k. Not even half. And I guess the rest of it has to be paid with loans, which at the moment I can’t do so onwards to Plan C! Beg for money. ;A;

I hate you guys!!! ^^^

Lol, my package is still being revised and after calling them 6 times today, I finally broke through. For those who are still being revised, he told they are mostly inputting “Cal Grants” awards. The adviser also told me that that by next week (Sept. 8ish), we should expect to see our official package and disbursements made.

If anybody did a request-for-review, they will begin on those in early October.

I probably will be deferring these payments, myself. The good news is that once the month is up from your previous deferment, you don’t have to pay once more to get another deferment after that.

My question: Anyone know when/where the scholarships that we applied for on the original application last fall come into play? I assumed they would be on the “repackage” but all he said was that the revision was for Cal Grant inputs…
