Had an alumni interview a week ago - went better than expected. What’s the deal with Admissions Officer interviews? Have REA applicants already been doing AO interviewers? Roughly what proportion of REA applicants get one?
“Admissions Officer” interviews or Alumni interviews? The alumni interviewers are not the admissions officers.
Almost all of EA and REA applicants do get interviews. Whether one gets an interview or not has no bearing on the admission outcome.
After an alumni interview is conducted, when the AO is reviewing a file and believes that an interview with the candidate could answer some questions and/or bring flavor to the file, the AO can reach out to the candidate for an interview. I am aware of such cases for those that are local to the Boston area. Good luck!
I’m from the Boston area and my brother attends H and he got both an Alumni interview and an Admissions officer interview when he applied. Hoping to get one.
While true, very few applicants gets a 2nd interview with an AO. The vast majority of admitted applicants will not have had a 2nd interview.
Not many at all, just to repeat what skieurope said.
Good to know. Thank you very much
