I know that the UF website says that I can get a maximum of 30 credit hours in UF from AP and Dual Enrollment. I'm a Junior and I plan to take enough of those courses that I'll probably get more than 30 credit hours. If I'm mistaken, that's about 1 years worth of courses, right?

I'm just wondering if those wasted credit hours can at least go to placement, so I don't have to take those classes again. I either want to finish college early, take far fewer classes, or maybe even do two majors.

Correction: You can get a maximum of 30 credits from AP and IB exams. You can get a maximum of 60 credits from dual enrollment courses. In essence, you could combine these two and have a potential max of 90 credits, but that's almost impossible unless you did College Academy as well as AP/IB classes in high school.

Excluding dual enrollment, I know how OP feels. I already have 21 credits from previous AP Exams taken during my sophomore and junior years, and I haven't even taken the 8 AP Exams I am going to take this year! Seriously, what a waste... stupid 30 credit cap.

I'm going to take many AP Exams. So I'm not particularly worried about English, Math, and Science because they WILL be counted as credit.

But I will pass Euro, World, APUSH, Psychology, and American Gov't and I'm just wondering what social studies class I can place into after this.

A maximum of 30 AP/IB/CLEP credits can be counted in your general education requirements - however, the test credits you have over those 30 are still listed on your records (ISIS). You can meet with an advisor to discuss which of those 30 credits you would like to use and they can be swapped around later if you find you need some you didn't use earlier. If you check the general education requirements for your major, it might help you decide which ones you want to use - areas where you aren't interested in taking more classes in that discipline, or where you want to start with a higher level class with a prerequisite you earned through testing.
Social Studies classes don't generally have prerequisites, so you can take pretty much any of those you want - if that is an area you like, you may want to save some of those credits and use more to fulfill requirements in a subject you're not as interested in pursuing. Some of the AP history credits can fulfill Humanities requirements. UF has an online page that tells you which subjects and how many credits you can earn with scores of 3,4,or 5. You can also check online for how many credits you need to meet the General Education requirements.
