AP and Free Electives

So, as you guys probably know, some AP scores are not accepted by Penn, or almost all of them need a 5. However, even if you get a 5, most of them get you a waiver from a course, or give you credit for a low numbered class (not even introductory or 100 series; more like 091). So, which AP classes get you out of what?

This is the website: Penn Admissions: Advanced Placement Policy

I was wondering that when they say you get credit for let's say Biology 091, English Freshman Free, or ENVS 200, and you are in the Biology Major, do these three credits count as Free Electives, G.E. Requirements, or what?

Free electives. You need like 32-36 c.u. to graduate. Your major is maybe 12-20 c.u. (I think bio is 16?). That means, if you’re bio (judging from your past posts…), you’ll have to take 20 c.u. outside your major.

Free electives and sector req’ts fall in this category.

Envs200 and Biol091 can be counted as free electives…not so sure about English Freshman Free…check out the English department website.

thank you!
